Step by step through the winter wonderland

Experience the magic of winter on a snowshoe hike in the Enns Valley. With every step you take through the unspoilt snow-covered landscape, you will feel everyday life slip away and peace and quiet return. Snowshoes are the perfect companion for discovering enchanting winter scenery, unwinding and taking a deep breath - without any previous experience. Just strap them on and off you go!

 

 

The Nature and Wellness Hotel Höflehner offers guided tours with our experienced hiking guides Kurt and Edith. Together you can set off directly from the hotel into the impressive Gumpental valley or explore the idyllic winter hiking trails of the Schladming-Dachstein region. Snowshoes and poles are available to you free of charge.

Whether alone, with friends or family - snowshoeing is an experience that harmonises body and mind and shows winter from its most beautiful side.

Winter hiking trails directly from the hotel

Hikes through snow-covered landscapes, where you can not only observe wild animals, but also admire the unique and diverse natural landscape.

Farm circuit (green route)
This leisurely circular route leads along a forest path with a slight incline alongside the red deer enclosure.
Continue in the direction of the alpacas back to the hotel.
Walking time: approx. 1 h

Knapplhütte winter hiking trail (dark blue route)
The hike starts in the direction of Gumpental, where after 1 km you take the turn-off to the right towards Hauser Kaibling
direction Hauser Kaibling. From then on you have a beautiful path surrounded by spruce forest. During the hike you cross the piste
the piste twice until you reach the Knapplhütte.
Walking time: approx. 1 1/2 h (one way)

Gumpental winter hiking trail (light blue route)
On this hike, you take a longer route from the Knapplhütte winter hiking trail!
You walk into the Gumpental and turn right uphill shortly after the Maierlalm. The forest path leads directly to the Knapplhütte.
Walking time: approx. 2 hours (one way)

Petersberg panoramic circular trail (grey route)
The steepest section is right at the start of the hike and leads into the Gumpental valley. In the Gumpental, turn left after the
Maierlalm, where the path leads over a bridge. Then follow the path at a constant altitude to Petersberg.
You reach the Schwaigerhof on a short stretch of tarmac. From there, follow the forest path back into the Gumpental valley to the Knapplhof farm.
